S'mores Dip with Cottage Cheese

This cold cottage cheese s’mores dip is creamy, sweet, and slightly tangy—almost like a cross between cheesecake dip and classic s’mores. The cottage cheese adds a little protein and a subtle salty flavor that balances the marshmallow and chocolate perfectly. It’s kid-friendly, crowd-pleasing, and great for summer parties, holidays, or any casual get-together.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Good Culture Low Fat 2% Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup marshmallow fluff/creme
  • 1 1/2 cups cool whip, softened
  • 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup optional
  • Pinch of salt
  • Cocoa powder see notes

To Serve

  • Mini chocolate chips, divided
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Graham crackers, for garnish and to dip
  • Strawberries, for dipping

Instructions

  • Combine whipped cottage cheese, cool whip, marshmallow fluff, maple syrup, vanilla extract and a pinch of salt (optional) to a large mixing bowl.
  • Using a hand mixer or immersion blender, beat on low or medium until all the ingredients are well-combined with minimal or no lumps.
  • Add about 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips and stir. Taste test and add maple syrup if preferred.
  • Pour the mixture into a large bowl or 9.5 inch circular glass dish.
  • Top the dip with additional mini chocolate chips, crushed graham crackers and mini marshmallows when ready to serve (max 3 hours before serving to prevent sogginess). The dip is best served really cold so chill for 30-60 minutes for best taste and texture.
  • Serve with sheets of graham crackers and strawberries. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 4 days!

Notes

  • Taste test and adjust with more marshmallow, maple syrup or cool whip.
  • Optional chocolate version: Blend in 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder. Add extra sweetener or a splash of milk to taste, if needed.
  • To prep ahead: Complete steps 1-4 and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Mix in the chocolate chips and add the toppings and it's ready to serve!
