Recently, I have been trialing a gluten-free diet because of some GI upset and if there’s one thing I’ve missed the most, it’s dessert! The store-bought treats haven’t been great, and it’s tough skipping out on sweets at social gatherings. So, I rounded up 15 truly delicious gluten-free dessert recipes to satisfy that sweet tooth.

Even the gluten-free options available are a bit limited, sadly, but this list has many delicious options. I am selfishly creating this roundup so I can be in charge of dessert at the next family gathering (if I am still doing my gluten trial).
So next time you are craving something sweet, refer back to this list for ideas!
The Delicious Recipes
Gluten-free desserts that actually taste amazing? That requires a lot of recipe testing, so, I must give a shoutout to these wonderful recipe creators who spend a lot of time getting it just right. I truly hope you find some delicious sweets to turn to time and time again!
1. Gluten-Free Fudge Brownies (Modern Honey)

We are starting out with this recipe because it’s always good to have a gluten-free version of a classic dessert like brownies. Most won’t even notice the difference of these chewy, delicious brownies made with almond flour.
2. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Yogurt Cookies (The Healthy Epicurean)

Of course, it is also important to have a go-to cookie recipe, too! Many of the store-bought ones are tough and not very good (in my opinion). These are made with peanut butter, yogurt and oats – no flour or butter! They’re so easy and simple yet delicious with the author stating “they’re the best cookies on earth.”

If you’re craving a quick and easy dessert in cheesecake form, these 3-ingredient cheesecake cups are creamy and packed with protein! This recipe uses a combination of Greek yogurt and cream cheese. Top with berries, chopped nuts, and gluten-free graham crackers!
These little cups are deliciously crowd-pleasing but also perfect to whip up at home when you have a craving for sweets.
5. Almond Flour Chocolate Cake (My Chef’s Apron)

This is a healthy, low carb, and easy chocolate cake made with almond flour. It’s light and healthy with cacao powder but still very moist!
6. Lemon Olive Oil Cake (Craving Something Healthy)

A Mediterranean-inspired lemon olive oil cake made without flour! It has a refreshing, bright citrus flavor. Olive oil cakes are also super moist! My mouth is watering just looking at this cake.
7. Gluten-Free Vegan Almond Cake (Addicted to Dates)

This almond cake is topped with crunchy flaked almonds and a sweet almond glaze. It is like a mix between vanilla cake and marzipan as it is more dense than a traditional slice of cake. It’s eggless and dairy-free as well with great reviews!
8. White Chocolate Funfetti Fudge (Eat Cook Bake)

This white chocolate fudge with sprinkles is quick and easy yet delicious enough to impress friends and family. It tastes just like store-bought fudge but it is a lot sweet and creamier than a milk chocolate fudge due to the white chocolate. This recipe features condense milk, vanilla extract and sprinkles.
9. Turtle Cookie Bars (Pure and Simple Nourishment)

These look to die for! Turtle cookie bars with a cookie layer, a caramel layer, a crunchy pecan layer and drizzle in chocolate! Sprinkle with sea salt for that perfect salty and sweet combination. This recipe makes 12 bars.
10. Cranberry Cheesecake Bars (Living Chirpy)

For a festive, crowd-pleasing dessert, make these cranberry cheesecake bars with a sweet yet tart and creamy filling. The crust is made with pecans so it is more of a nutty flavor. The color contrast is so beautiful, too!
11. Healthy Apple Pie Bars (Pure & Simple Nourishment)

Craving the comforting flavors of an apple pie? These healthy apple pie bars should do the trick! They feature a flaky, shortbread crust with a cinnamon apple filling. Then, they’re drizzled with a caramel sauce on top.

13. Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pie (The Wooden Skillet)

Another classic holiday dessert made gluten-free without even tasting like it. This pumpkin pie has the flakiest crust and that traditional creamy pumpkin filling.
14. Lemon Bars (Well Fed Baker)

If you love that combination of tangy and sweet, these lemon bars are super delicious and refreshing. The shortbread crust uses gluten-free flour and it is paired with a lemon custard filling.
15. Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Stuffed Dates

These dark chocolate covered dates are stuffed with peanut butter and protein powder, then sprinkled with sea salt. This sweet and salty combination is one of my favorites, even as someone who doesn’t love peanut butter. Keep these chewy little treats in the freezer for anytime you want a Snickers-like dessert that is actually nutritious!

I appreciate the attempt at GF recipes and they look good. However you should be aware that many people that have one food allergy or intolerance, have multiple allergies. These recipes rely too much on nuts, nut flours and dairy and are a hard no for many, many people including me. I am saving the GF pie dough recipe from the pumpkin pie, but that’s it.
Well, I am very sorry that you did not find what you are looking for. I did try to note when a recipe was dairy-free as well and include what type of flour was used because I do understand that many people have multiple allergies. However, the basis of this point was specifically for finding delicious gluten-free desserts – hopefully I help those with Celiac disease and gluten sensitivities like myself. You make a great point, though, maybe I will focus on more allergy friendly recipes next. I have a couple posts for dinners and breakfasts on my site if you’re interested.
