5 Dirty Soda Recipes {with Olipop}

5 delicious dirty soda recipes using Olipop to add some excitement and flavor to your day-to-day. These recipes are easy (all 4 ingredients or LESS) and provide over 9 grams of fiber to reach a higher overall fiber intake and increase the diversity of our gut microbiome!

I’ve been seeing the dirty soda trend on TikTok and I decided to jump on! I used to drink French sodas during study sessions in college so this is right up my alley.

These recipes are definitely worth the expensive price tag and increased sugar intake – even if for an occasional indulgence. Plus, it’s a tasty way to increase overall fiber and prebiotic intake. Elevate your mocktails with these fun flavors: sweet cream soda, cherries and cream, strawberry lemon, traditional dirty soda and a tropical dirty soda.

Some Thoughts About Olipop

Olipop is a refreshing prebiotic soda with a whopping 9 grams of fiber and only 3 grams of sugar per can. The prebiotics found in Olipop are from plant fibers like cassava root fiber, chicory root inulin, Jerusalem artichokes, nopal cactus, marshmallow root, and kudzu root. These are some of the best-known sources of prebiotics.

Prebiotics are compounds found in foods that feed the good bacteria in our gut – which helps increase the diversity and composition of our microbiome. A more diverse microbiome not only supports digestive health, but is linked to numerous bodily processes like immune support and may even lower inflammation.

These sodas are not highly regulated- but they do claim to be third-party tested to ensure the amount of prebiotics featured on the label is the amount of prebiotics in the can. Most of the fiber in Olipop is inulin fiber which is considered a fructan. Therefore, it’s high in FODMAPs and those with IBS or SIBO may not tolerate them well.

The jury’s still out on if these sodas are worth their expensive price tag. However, I do think they are one of the better functional beverages on the market and a very tasty way to increase fiber!

Olipop Dirty Soda Recipes

A wooden cutting board full of glasses of ice, coffee creamer, and Olipop sodas.

Easily substitute any of the Olipop soda flavors with a traditional soda if you want all the taste without that expensive price tag. Most of these recipes use Chobani Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer because it’s rich, delicious and just the best! Sub with a similar dairy-free creamer or a lower sugar option if needed.

For best results, use a large 14 ounce cup for one serving, or two 8 ounce cups.

Dirty Sweet Cream Soda

A dirty soda with Olipop cream soda flavored in a large glass with a straw next to a can of Olipop.

This recipe is as simple as it gets – yet, it’s SO delicious. It’s basically a creamier, sweeter cream soda and the sweet cream coffee creamer complements it so well.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz.) can of Olipop Cream Soda
  • 1 tablespoon Chobani Sweet Cream Creamer

Directions: Pour one can of soda into a large glass with ice. Add 1 tablespoon of cream and mix. Drink immediately.

Nutritional information: 70 calories, 18g carbohydrates, 8g sugar.

Dirty Cherry Coke

This one is for the cherry coke lovers! Much lower sugar content than a traditional cherry coke but with all the flavor.

Ingredients:

  • Vintage Cola Olipop
  • 3 Marashino Cherries
  • 1 tablespoon Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
  • 1 tablespoon marashino cherry juice

Directions: Pour a can of Olipop Vintage Cola into a glass with ice. Add the creamer and the maraschino cherry juice. Give it a stir to combine. Garnish with cherries. Drink immediately.

Nutritional information: 90 calories, 19g carbohydrates, 9g fiber, 12g sugar.

Traditional Dirty Soda

This is the traditional dirty soda that has been going around with flavors like lime and coconut. It’s a refreshing mocktail – perfect for the summer yet so simple. While not the prettiest of these sodas, if you added more cream it might change the color (but I tried to keep the sugar content lower).

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz.) can of Olipop Vintage Cola
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lime
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Coffee Creamer

Directions: Pour one can of Olipop Vintage Cola into a glass with ice. Top with coconut creamer and the juice of 1/2 a lime. Stir to combine, and drink immediately!

Nutritional information: 70 calories, 18g carbohydrates, 9g fiber, 8g sugar.

Strawberries and Cream Dirty Soda

The lemon adds a refreshing tang so it’s not too sweet. Even though it’s the most work, this one is probably my favorite. It’s a bit fizzy and fun!

Ingredients:

  • Strawberry Vanilla or Vintage Cola Olipop
  • 1 tablespoon Chobani Sweet Cream Coffee Creamer
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lemon

Directions: Pour a Strawberry Vanilla Olipop into a large glass with ice. Add 1/2 cup of strawberries to a blender with the juice of 1/2 of a lemon. Add the creamer to the glass with Olipop, then pour in the strawberry puree. Stir to combine. Drink immediately.

Creamy Pineapple Tropical Dirty Soda

A perfectly refreshing drink for a hot summer day – or if you just want to be reminded of a tropical vacation. The pineapple juice adds some additional sweetness (you only need a splash), so omit if you prefer a little less sweetness.

Ingredients:

  • Tropical Punch Olipop
  • Juice of 1/2 a Lime
  • Splash of pineapple juice (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Creamer

Directions: Pour a Tropical Punch Olipop into a large glass with ice. Top with coconut creamer, the juice of 1/2 of a lime, and a splash of pineapple juice. Stir to combine. Garnish with lime wedges and drink immediately.

Easily Customizable

These recipes are fun and flavorful, but can be easily customized! I hope this post gives you some ideas on how to level up your mocktails while also providing some additional health benefits. Plus, the flavor options are endless.

Dirty sodas are unique and not for everyone – I get that. Due to the higher sugar content, they are also probably not best to drink everyday. However, I love the trend and I’m excited to try it more often! Let me know which one is your favorite!

  • The more sugar in the coffee creamer, the sweeter it will be. I love the taste of Chobani Sweet Cream coffee creamer, however, easily sub with a lower sugar option (recommend the sweet cream flavor, though). For those who are dairy-free, select a dairy-free creamer.
  • These sodas are best if consumed immediately- the ingredients start to separate. However, I have had them a few hours later and they’re still delicious if you give it a stir!
